The Credit Union has been set up to benefit its members - this means that we don't charge you fees in order to make a profit for ourselves! Any profits we make are returned to you in the form of low and competitive fees and charges. In fact if you qualify for the Credit Union's Loyalty Programme rebate you may have unlimited free transactions every month.
The following tips will help you conduct you banking more efficiently and reduce the overall cost of the Credit Union which will have a direct benefit for members through even lower fees and better interest rates
- Internet Banking: Obtain balances, transfer funds between accounts and externally. BPAY® your bills. All Internet transactions are fee-free.
- Phone Access: access your balances & transactions 24 x 7; transfer funds within your account and BPAY your bills.
- BPAY: All BPAY transactions are fee-free transactions.
- Visa: Use your Visa Debit Card wherever the Visa symbol is displayed. By pressing the "Credit" button at the point of sale terminal and either signing or using your pin for the purchase, your transaction will be fee free. Please note that you may not be able to do this at stores that are part of the Woolworths group of companies
- Direct Debit: As an alternative to making periodical payments, or writing cheques, pay your regular payments by direct debit. This is a fee-free transaction.
- Cash withdrawals: If you’re withdrawing cash at an ATM, when ever possible use an ATM that is part of the rediATM or NAB ATM networks. Owners of ATMs not is these networks have the right to charge users for withdrawals.
- Account balances: Avoid paying dishonour fees or transfer fees by making sure you have sufficient cleared funds in your account before writing a cheque or attempting a withdrawal. By making a quick call to our Telephone Banking service you will be able to verify your balance/s.
- Investigate products & services: Check out our full range of products & services – you’ll find them extremely competitive. Consider transferring your banking business to your Credit Union, thereby increasing your opportunity to receive free transactions.
